I have heard best of version types of a number of tunes in this year- Foolish, Birdsong, Scarlet-Fire, to name a few- there seem to be many more hot shows than I once though- -case in point is this beauty, which really just smokes in the second set- there is a very pretty outro to Foolish- a great crazy fingers into a, for the time, truly terrific truckin, complete with a meltdown jam into Speedway. Worth the streaming time- trust me on this one- even you William Tell.

What a great show that is - '89 to '91 were definitely that last "great years" IMHO. There are moments of greatness in every year, but these were the last years that even the not so great shows were above average (compared to '85 to '88 - this is based on my "touring years ['85 to '91]).

1991 was a particularly great year - Bruce's piano really made a difference. Would like to have seen this lineup w/ out Mickey (I like Mickey, but the one drummer thing with Billy was much less cumbersome)and seen how this lineup could have swung. This show has the best latter years TLEO and the second set just grows, grows and then "POW" - Truckin-Speedway all jammed out and wonderful. Even the less than inspired post space song selection is played wonderfully.

That whole May Shoreline run is worth the listen.

Air I have to agree with you. Even late 88 was amazing considering where they were headed.

Agreed Liam.

I'd add the previous weekend at Cal Expo to the list of required listening for 1991. Both 5/3 and 5/5 are pretty smokin shows as well.

Here here, I could not agree with you more.
Some really good shows and a few "great" shows
